Nicholas Albu, Esq., an attorney practicing in the Corporate and Business law section at Woods Rogers PLC. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Appalachian State University and law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.

Mary Ann (Steger) Conrad, a native of Charlottesville, VA, has been a resident of the City of Roanoke for 30 years. Other activities have included: Chair, State Board for Community Colleges; Chair, Roanoke Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross; presently, serves on the American Red Cross National Leadership Advisory Board; has served on The Governor’s Blue Ribbon Commission for Higher Education and a member of the First Lady of Virginia’s Advisory Board.

Cynda Ann Johnson, MD, MBA, is President & Founding Dean of Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, located on the Carilion medical campus in Roanoke, Va. She is a family physician with a special interest in maternal-child health. Undergraduate at Stanford University, medical school at UCLA, residency training at Univ. of Kansas Medical Center; Member of faculty & practiced at KU for over two decades. Before relocating to Roanoke in 2008, Cynda was Dean of the Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC.

Dr. Hugh Wells, a graduate of Duke University; medical school at UVA; pediatric residency at UNC, and completed a Fellowship in Neonatology at UVA. In 1979, he became Director of Intensive Care Nursery at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He retired from clinical practice in 2006.Hugh first became involved with Roanoke Sister Cities in 1992.
